Rectifying a cowboy builders mistakes

After extensive surveys by qualified engineers a property in Ringwood has been condemned due the bad work carried out by a Bournemouth building company. The Ringwood house is going to have to pay thousands of pound to have all the extension and structural work corrected. Perhaps a lesson to be learned here. A word of advise, please get references from your chosen builders previous builds and renovations. Get as many references as it takes to satisfy you. You will be handing a lot of money over and you need to know that they are competent and recommended. Never pay any builder in cash. You loose your guaranteeif something goes wrong. A good builder should be VAT registered. I know what your thinking, it’s dead money, but it’s the law and us good citizens have to abide by it. Remember, VAT is on nearly everything we buy these days, just calculate it in your budget. Pay your builder on a fortnightly basis, once you are happy with the progress of the work and only on receipt of invoice. Think twice on taking the cheapest quote. Think again why and how they could be so much cheaper than the next builder. Maybe they don’t even have insurance, maybe they don’t pay their VAT, maybe a lot of things? Check, check and check and ask as many questions as you need to. Happy building.
